My Mission
At Anja Jay, my mission is to create a stylish, yet sustainable brand that teens and people of all ages will love. I wanted to bring in an old fashion style, patchwork, and incorporate it into our modern world by using fashionable and colorful prints. As a teenager who is passionate about fashion and the environment, I strive to bring unique hand made accessories that are affordable and full of character to you. Sourced from India, each piece is handcrafted with care and love using the traditional techniques of artisans. I aim to make patchwork fun, but also timeless as we take one step towards a more sustainable future.
My Story
As a teenager based in California with a passion for entrepreneurship, I decided to take it one step further and start my own business at the age of 15. My inspiration initially came from the vibrant colors and unique styles I experienced during my summer trips to Europe and Asia to visit family. Constantly surrounded by rich culture, I knew I wanted to incorporate this influence into my designs. With support from my parents, I sourced my products from Jaipur, India, and brought my ideas to life, celebrating the beauty of different cultures.
My Approach
My approach at Anja Jay is centered around creativity and authenticity. As a young entrepreneur, I work closely with artisans in India who create each bag using patchwork, a technique where various pieces of fabric are carefully sewn together into one quilt to form a unique pattern. This handcrafted process ensures that no two bags are ever the same, with each one telling its own story through a beautiful combination of colors and designs. Being uniquely you is what I wanted to emphasize with my brand, as you will never find another bag the exact same as yours.

A key part of my vision is giving back, which is why a portion of the profits goes toward supporting a charity in India that empowers children's education.
